week three ...

monday 1st october 2007 the site is a complete mess and has become an obstacle course of durt mounds and trench jumps, you really need to carefully plan your route from the gate to the caravan. tuesday 2nd wednesday 3rd thursday 4th what a contrast to last thursday today has been - I spent most of the day fighting back the tears of frustration. the promised plinth bricks arrived two days late, but were the wrong ones. Luckily I was there to check and so the builders didn't start laying them. I spent a very stressful day trying to find out what happenened and decide how to get the correct 12-14 week special order PL3.1 plinth bricks within the next two weeks! not a good day. friday 5th spent the day being pampered at the spa at celtic manor (my friend pixies birthday treat!) - although the day started stressfully as we were at the builders merchants at 7.30am choosing new bricks The groundworkers finished the blockwork today and the lack of plinth bricks meant they have left the site, but agreed to come back as soon as we have plinth bricks! weekend not much done on the build this weekend, we helped mum do some catering for most of saturday, then went to chris's dads for a curry in the evening. visited chris's grandparents on sunday and mouched around the site just for fun, still playing house on our slab.
